Review by Johnny Five for Sarah Peyton 10-Inch Queen Memory Foam Mattress with 2 Contour Pillows

My wife and I decided to buy this mattress when it was on sale for a little over $300. BEST decision we ever made! The mattress arrived immediately, rolled up in a blue tarp. I had to roll it out and let the foam expand, and within the hour, the mattress was ready to be used. The manufacturer suggests that you wait a few days before using it, but I couldn’t wait. My wife and I were sleeping on it that same night.
We received two free pillows with the mattress. The pillows are a bit too slim, so our two kids use them. They’re the perfect size for my 3 and 7 year old. I definitely have fallen in love with this mattress. I may sound like an infomercial when I say this BUT my back pains have disappeared once I started sleeping on this foam mattress. The size is perfect for my wife and I. I DEFINITELY recommend this product to everyone out there!

This item is NOT as advertised.
I specifically bought this mattress BECAUSE it said MADE IN USA and was HYPOALLERGENIC according to the AD on AMAZON. I have severe allergies, especially to chemicals, (the main reason I wanted/ordered a 100% hypoallergenic mattress made in the USA).
After the package arrived, I opened it in my bedroom and set this mattress on my new frame and as it expanded the room filled with a very strong chemical odor.
I was able to locate 3 tags that were sewn into the seam of the mattress one of which SAYS “IMPORTED BY APPLAUSE SOURCE LLC MARCH 2010 MADE IN CHINA. No where does it say “Sarah Peyton or made in USA or HYPOALLERGENIC! The 2 flat pillows also were tagged “made in china”. There was no product information on the packaging or the tarp the mattress came wrapped in. No indication of the manufacturing country or name brand anywhere. I didn’t realize until after the mattress began to expand it was not what was advertised! (see the photos) No way could I sleep on this, or use this mattress! I had to drag it outside while it continued to expand to avoid further exposure with whatever chemicals that were in it.
Update: After many attempts to contact, Amazon finally emailed me offering me a refund for “the problem with the item”, but the advertisement remains just as it was for this mattress. No explaination, nothing about a mix up, nothing! Just that they did not want this mattress returned and here’s your money back, go away. I donated the mattress to a local charity that picks up items, so I didn’t have to touch it again.
If you or your loved ones have chemical allergies, do not buy this mattress. Because Amazon continues to advertise this mattress as hypoallergenic and a product of USA, BEWARE! It is not made in the USA and not hypoallergenic as advertised!

This gets you additionally two pillows with your mattress for 30 dollars more. Overall good value
The mattress is excellent, arrives rolled up and really needs to be aired out for a week before it can be used. It is comfortable to sleep on, though honestly it’s still just a mattress. The feel is obviously different from a spring mattress, but you get used to it quickly. It is good value for money, though I’m not certain of its durability.
The pillows may not be for everyone. I was bunching up my pillow so it would support my neck, so this memory foam pillow works well for me and was worth the extra 30 dollars. If you’re happy with your current pillow, don’t bother. But this pillow completely got rid of my neck pain and is great for both sleeping on your side on stomach/back. They are cheaper than buying two memory foams separately, but they are half the size of a regular pillow.

When I saw some of the reviews about people sinking into the hole where their spouse was laying I thought this bed would not be firm enough, to my suprise the bed is very very firm almost to firm. I do like the bed even though it is firmer than I would like it does not have the pressure points like my old mattress did and I sleep much sounder not having to toss and turn all night.

It is true that this mattress has no Sarah Peyton branding and that it is made in China, not the USA. However, this mattress is high quality and sleeps every bit as good as any tempur-pedic I have slept on…for 1/10th of the price. I highly recommend this mattress. Very comfortable and the pillows are very nice bonus.

Being too cheap to buy a new mattress, I picked this up when it was on sale, and couldn’t be happier with it. I’d been wary of trying memory foam, given the wide variety of complaints about them (too small, smells bad, too hot, etc.), but now I wish I had given in sooner. This fits perfectly, lost its weird odor in about two days, and is cooler than just my unpadded mattress. And, while it doesn’t make my mattress seem comfy enough to be brand new, its more than comfy enough to put off buying a new one a while longer.

This visco elastic is the same as the ones out there going for close to $200.00. It came packaged nicely and the first night on my hospital bed i have at home i can’t tell you the pressure it took off my back and the comfort. Being i have 4 herniated discs, 8 pinched nerves and both problems with my si joints among other health issues, the 2 inch was very plush and has yet to lose it’s comfort and go down like pillows to. Excellent price and excellent product. I run the QVC Addicts board and have posted about this and so many have ordered and i keep getting excellent feedback from them also.

Review by D. Equils for Sleep Studio ViscO2 Ventilated 2-Inch Memory Foam Mattress Enhancer, Queen
Rating:
This foam topper is 8 pounds out of the box which puts the density at 3 pounds per cubic food. This is the way one measures the quality of foam toppers. The previous one that I bought from eBay (and am in the process of returning) was a cheap 1.5 pounds per cubic foot which is on the low end. To find the density, multiply the dimensions (e.g. 30×72x2 and divide by 12, 3 times) and then divide the weight by this number. 8 pounds in this case. The high end is around 5 pounds per cubic foot.
You will find that sleeping on foams of different densities feels rough;y the same. The difference is in how long they last, the higher the density, the longer they will last.
Hopes this helps and sweet dreams.

I love my very hard mattress which keeps my back in decent shape but lately I have been noticing painful pressure points on my hips which make me toss and turn all night. After looking for a pillow top (there is none on my mattress) I turned to Amazon for reviews, read the reviews here and decided on this mattress top. Thank all of you who placed reviews here! I am delighted with my choice. No more pressure points. Very little tossing and turning. No bad foam rubber odor. Very, very comfortable. This pad will not turn a worn out old mattress into a new one, but if you have a good supportive mattress that is just a bit uncomfortable, this is a really good thing.
